Plasma Cutting

Plasma Cutting – Is a process that utilizes an optimized nozzle orifice to constrict a very high-temperature, ionized gas so that it can be used to melt and sever sections of electrically conductive metals.  AMS has joined a high definition plasma generator with a gantry mounted robot, resulting in a machine capable of 7-axis cutting.

Our 7-axis 6’ x 20’ high definition plasma cutting machine is capable of Z heights of 36+ inches. Applications include the cutting of steel, stainless steel, aluminum and copper.  We can cut thicknesses up to 2.5”, depending on the material.

• Virtually dross-free cutting from gauge to 1.25”
• Maximum cutting thickness up to 2.5”
• Bevel cutting, and trimming of forged and stamped parts.
